If you’ve ever felt as though your life has hit a state of boredom, then you know things need to be done differently in order to make them better. The same holds true for your muscle workouts. If you continue to repeat the same types of exercises with the same amount of weight and the same amount of repetitions, like life…your body will eventually become bored. In other words, you will see little to no positive change. So like life, you need to constantly look for different ways to improve your muscle workouts so you can obtain your goals.

It is very easy to walk into the gym with your mind on “autopilot.” Simply put, human beings are creatures of habit. So going to the health club and putting yourself through the same exercises week in and week out can be common practice. Have you ever noticed that most if not all of the regulars who go to your gym are always working out on the same machines or doing the same exercises? If you have noticed, then you have also probably observed that most, if not all of them, always look the same with little to no positive changes to their bodies. So if this seems to be the case, how do we go about making sure we don’t continuously fall into this same trap? It all starts with conscious awareness of your muscle workout plan.

This conscious awareness simply means that you keep close tabs on your daily and weekly muscle workouts so you can avoid being repetitive. If you do three sets of dumbbell presses with 40 pounds one week, then maybe the following week you workout on the Hammer Strength machine with a different amount of weight. The point is to keep the muscles stimulated by continuously forcing them to react to different things. Changing exercises, machines, and even angles of how and where muscles are being precisely stimulated can make all the difference in the world to improving your body. It can help you lose fat gain muscles and reach your goal.

You can also pick things up from other people working out in the health club. Don’t be afraid to try different exercises that you’ve seen others do. If you feel they have a positive impact, then incorporate them into regiment. Remember change, no matter how subtle or significant the change is to your muscle workout, it can be one of the most impactful things that you can do to create positive results for your body.
